2018 Graduation Tonight at 7pm (downloadable program)
The 2018 Telesis Graduation Ceremony is tonight at 7pm! Don’t forget that RiverScene Magazine created a special SnapChat filter Telesis graduates which will be available at 5pm. Congratulations to all of our Tigers who are graduating! Our graduates have earned a combined total of $101,692 in scholarships! Way to go! We are so proud of you!

I am excited to enter our 28th year of providing quality education in Lake Havasu City and I look forward to seeing you when the new school year begins on August 6, 2018!
Please note: Telesis uniform t-shirts can now be purchased in the main office, to avoid long lines at Meet the Teacher Night. Please also note that orientation week is July 30th through August 2nd and, due to several meetings, the office may not be open at all times. Please call the school ahead of time to confirm someone can assist you.

Meet the Teacher Night – August 2nd
Before we start the new year, we would like to invite you and your family to MEET THE TEACHER NIGHT on August 2nd at 6:00 PM. After our teachers introduce themselves, they will break into groups based on academic levels and will be ready to answer your questions. There will also be an important orientation session for 9th grade students on this night – please do not miss it! Schedules will be available for high school students, in addition to AzMERIT reports as well.
First Day of School – August 6th
At 8:30am, you are invited to attend our traditional annual flag raising by the color guard of the Lake Havasu Marine Corps League. We also will be honoring any dads who will be bringing their children to school on this first day of the school year as we take part in the National Million Father March each year. We hope those dads will come back often

Student of the Month for September Savanah Primeaux!
Congratulations, Savanah Primeaux, you are the Student of the Month for September!
Savanah is a Junior Academy -7 student who loves English and social studies and thinks all of her teachers are great. She is proud to have made the volleyball team and is also proud for maintaining straight A’s all last year.
Her teachers had the following to say about Savanah:
Ms. Poppleton: Savanah is new to Telesis this year and works extremely hard. She’s constantly helping the people around her and the work she completes is always done so well. She also tried out and the JV volleyball team. She listens carefully and strives to do her best in everything she puts her mind to.
Ms. Nash: I agree wholeheartedly! Savanah readily participates in all activities and discussions. She is helpful to others and is an excellent role model to her peers!
Ms. Hayes: I agree as well. Savanah is a pleasant, well-mannered young lady who is always ready to learn as well as do her best on everything. I am very impressed with her efforts.

Emmileyne Middleton – Student of the Month for October!
Congratulations to Emmileyne Middleton, Student of the Month for October!
Emmileyne is a Junior Academy – 8 student whose favorite classes are math, English, and science. Her favorite teachers are Ms. Poppleton and Ms. Nash. She likes to play volleyball and want to improve her volleyball skills. Emmileyne said she wants to continue to work hard in school, be involved in school fundraisers, and help her classmates with their work.
Her teachers had this to say: “Emmileyne is really doing a great job with schoolwork. She wants and strives to be on honor roll, plays volleyball, and is very responsible. She has really matured over the past few years, taking the time to use study hall and other resources during lunch so that she doesn’t fall behind. She is at school early in the morning working and exhibiting excellent character. She genuinely cares about her success, and her success means the world to her. “

Christina O’Neil is the November Student of the Month!
Congratulations to JA-7 student Christina O’Neil for being selected as the Student of the Month for November!
Christina’s favorite classes are art, English, and math. Her favorite teacher is Ms. Nash. She has a goal to read the entire Harry Potter series in one month! Christina is proud that she always makes it on to the Principal’s Honor Roll list. She also enjoys participating in Cheer.
Teachers shared the following about Christina:
Mrs. Hayes: Christina is pleasant and she works hard. She is polite and caring
Miss Poppleton: Christina has been awesome in math, always coming in with a positive attitude. She is willing to help the people around her and her patience is incredible.
Ms. Nash: Christina has been through many hardships in her personal life, and she arrives each day smiling, vivacious, and excited. She takes care of her little brother, making sure he eats breakfast, has a decent lunch and gets to class safely. Not only does she participate enthusiastically in all class activities, her work goes above and beyond. Christina clearly cares about her successes and for those around her.

Nathan Jackson will go on to compete in the 2019 Mohave County Spelling Bee in Kingman, AZ on Friday, January 18th, 2019!

Kyndra Flores is the December Student of the Month
Congratulations, Kyndra Flores! You are Student of the Month for December!
Kyndra’s favorite classes are math, English, and P.E.. She is proud of her math achievements and her favorite teacher is Miss Poppleton. She enjoys participating in volleyball and cheer.
Kyndra’s teacher’s said:
Miss Poppleton: “Kyndra has improved significantly since last year, in confidence and ability. Kyndra always asks for absent work, sometimes emailing me from home, so she can stay on top of material. She was part of the volleyball team as well. She is a great role model for her peers and continues to impress me on a regular basis.”
Ms. Nash: “She works hard and puts in full effort in class. She clearly cares about her success and is helpful to others.”
Mrs. Gough: “She has continually turned in quality work, she helps her classmates, and has a high level of effort. “

AzMERIT Testing Update
